The Simulacra Series is art showcase of experimental electronic music, film, and writing. The premise is to cultivate community between the art departments of University of Colorado of Boulder, Naropa University, and the Boulder Community at large. The first installment will take place this Saturday April 7th in the Student Center on Naropa’s Arapahoe Campus from 7-10. It will feature four electronic musicians, two from Naropa, one from CU, and one from the Boulder Community.
The objective is to feature local artists each month so arts from different disciplines and schools can be in conversation with each other.
In addition to having live music and film projections, there will be a giant scroll of butcher paper for free writing/poetic graffiti. This is a symbol and tribute to our Kerouac roots. After the show we will read the scroll and celebrate at the Bouldering Poets after party.
