After a short hiatus, JKS alumni initiative Inukshuk Collective Boulder is back with their first eco-poetic event of the fall/winter season. This is a healing ceremony of sorts. Healing the trauma of our fire-damaged canyon. Healing any injuries, both mentally and creatively, which can arrive when our community experiences disaster. Making a physical and artistic connection to the parts of earth we press our feet to. A meeting in the middle of the scar. Please join them for a ceremony featuring poets and indigenous land rights activists. Guest poets include Marcelo Games, Burt Rashbaum, Mary Parker, Jenna Kotch, Ariella Ruth, Cody Spyker, Andrea Bogue, and April Joseph. Additional work from Inukshuk founders Kristen Park and Jess Hagemann will also be featured, along with an eco-somatic exercise led by Jade Lascelles. Please bring any words or rituals you would like to share. Paper and writing instruments may be helpful, as they hope for this event to inspire action of the written word.
