Kat Fossell attended Loyola University for her undergraduate degree, where she received a B.A. in English Creative Writing. She is 23 and currently attends Naropa University where she is a member of the Jack Kerouac School of Disembodied Poetics. She sincerely hopes that with age things get easier although she suspects this may just be wishful thinking. She assigns much of her creative momentum to the hustle-driven streets of Chicago where she found she had a particular fascination with one-clawed pigeons. Kat’s favorite genre to write in is poetry, and her work attempts to weave into a tapestry the aspects of human experience known as spirituality, romantic love, and riotous revolution. Kat’s family resides in St. Louis and Florida, and her second family mostly in Chicago, although there are some outliers in D.C., Michigan, and elsewhere. Kat would like to dedicate these poems to each and every person who ever suffered through one of her passionate rants about all the problems she would like to fix in the world. She sends all the love.
