Free NaNoWriMo Prep Workshop

National Novel Writing Month has become a treasured tradition for aspiring novelists, who race to write a 50,000-word (or longer) novel during the month of November. Though you can’t enter prose you’ve already written, you can map out a plan. In this workshop, you’ll how to prep for NaNoWriMo–including how to do plot points and character sketches–as well as strategies that will help you write with more focus.

About the Instructor: Lori is the founder of the Boulder Writers’ Workshop and works as an independent writing teacher and coach. One of her short stories was top-25 finalist for a Glimmer Train Fiction Open Contest. Her essays on writing have been published in Mamaphonic: Balancing Motherhood and Other Creative Acts, Keep It Real: Everything You’ve Wanted to Know About Research and Writing Creative Nonfiction and A Million Little Choices: The ABCs of CNF. She has had more than a thousand articles and essays published in newspapers, magazines and literary journals, including The Bellevue Literary Review, The New York Times, Arizona Highways, Working Woman, America West Airlines Magazine, Black Enterprise, PHOENIX Magazine and more.

Attend the workshop and become an official winner for NaNoWriMo and win a free hour of coaching with Lori.  You must follow the NaNoWriMo rules and be validated as a winner.  You need not be writing fiction.
